Since I started my business, I've had to traverse the steep learning curve that is working for myself. Whether you run your own business, your studying at uni, or your working on projects outside of work, you'll be familiar with how tricky it can be to find your groove and feel like you're consistently staying on top of things!
I've had to let go of the idea that more time = more gets done. I've had to create some serious boundaries around work time and me-time. I've had to learn how to prioritize and break up my time. I've tried head of different approaches and strategies with a curious mind to find a pretty consistent flow in running my business.
It's definitely something that's always evolving - recently I noticed that as the morning are getting colder and darker, my old waking time was becoming a chore. The last thing I wanted to do in the morning was get out of my cosy bed to exercise! I noticed that I felt much more motivated to move my body at the end of my work day - I'd often have lots of pent up energy that had me craving s a run to catch the last light of the day and watch the sunset. So I've changed things around to keep me feeling good!
Even if you don't have lots of flexibility with your days, there is always wriggle room! Adopting that curious mindset and observing what's working and what's not and how to keep evolving which is key to keeping that feeling of flow!
In today's video, I share how I often run my days - the boundaries I set around work time, how I transition from sleep into my day, from my morning into work mode, how I take breaks throughout the day, and how I switch off from my work day in the evening.
I'm also giving you my ultimate to-do list and planning hacks which is how I get things ticked off, even when there's a huge amount to get done and my fave book recommendations to help you find that flow...
